Tekne Solutions LLC is a consulting company which specializes in High Performance Plastic Injection molding such as PEEK, PPS, PPSU, PSU, PEI and thermoset Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR).


We offer services from Design for Manufacturing Analysis (DMFA), Mold Flow Analysis (MFA), mold design to outsourcing of tooling fabrication, mold trial with scientific process development, first article inspection, and production.

Mold Flow Analysis

Tekne Solutions offers a comprehensive mold flow analysis from flow, pack and cooling to shrinkage and warpage using Moldex3D simulation.

FLOW
Flow will give a deep insight of plastic fountain melt flow behaviors that will help to accurately detect potential weak weld lines, air traps and short shot problems. It will also help predict shear stresses and potential material burning or gassing, calculate clamp tonnage required for the peak injection pressure.

PACK
Pack will help with gate freeze time with using molten core and required clamping force for packing stage. It also help optimize process conditions in packing stage, such as packing time, packing pressure, VP switch and predict areas of high volumemetric shrinkage, sink mark and displacement and frozen layer calculation.

COOLING
Cooling will provide the tools to detect cooling systems defects such as unbalance, hot spots and prolonged cooling time due to poor cooling efficiency. 

WARPAGE
Warpage allows users predict total warpage due to non-uniform wall thickness shrink rate variations and the effect fiber-filled material fiber orientation and its anisotropic shrinkage, residual stress, and material viscoelasticity effects on warpage. Also, warpage results can be used for a more accurate FEA analysis.

Mold Design

Tekne Solutions offers extensive knowledge and experience in designing mold to produce plastic part material with optimum strength, homogenous walls without voids and porosity, and minimum residual molded in stress. We also ensure the design is optimized for tooling fabrication and machining, molding, changeover, and maintenance. We employ sophisticated mold design that uses the latest parametric 3D CAD. We offer various types of mold design for the following applications:

We manage projects from Design for Manufacturing Analysis, Mold Flow Analysis, Mold design to outsourcing tooling fabrication, mold trial, scientific molding process development, FAI and 2nd operation de-flashing and machining.

We partner with local mold shops to provide the best quality as well as faster delivery which allows us to respond quickly to any tooling adjustments and modifications.

Scientific Injection Molding

Tekne Solutions uses Scientific Injection Molding and Decouple molding technique to develop a robust process. We use a 6-step study: the viscosity curve study, which determines the proper injection speed, the cavity balance study, the pressure drop study which determines whether the process is pressure limited, the process window and gate seal study which minimizes voids and porosity, and the cooling time DOE to determine the process stability.
